Job description

Position Summary:

As the Communications and Events Specialist, this role requires a wide range of duties within the spectrum of marketing and event coordination to support the programmatic goals of the sales organization. The role serves as the lead regarding event goals and timelines, ensuring timely project completion, and communicating status updates and clear expectations for project execution. In addition to events, this role also supports marketing activities, such as social media campaigns and other marketing activities as assigned by the Marketing Manager.

Essential Functions:

· Oversee planning and execution of all internal and external BRC events
· Foster strong relationships with Members through strategic event engagement and digital communications
· Coordinate with third-party vendors for the procurement of promotional materials
· Support the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and collateral
· Collaborate with HR to format and develop internal company documents
· Write and manage all blogs/articles and post to website (via WordPress)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of internal and external company-related events from conception to completion, as well as support various in-house initiatives.
· Ensure all events and communications comply with company standards, guidelines, and brand specifications.
· Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
· Act as the primary point of contact for large-scale events, parties, and special functions.
· Manage event documentation, including contracts, permits, and compliance paperwork.
· Partner with facilities to coordinate and confirm menu selections and related logistics.
· Negotiate third-party vendor contracts and provide support with accounts receivable tasks.
· Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create and distribute promotional materials aligned with campaign goals.
· Design and implement onboarding packages tailored for new customer engagement and retention.
· Create and develop the company’s thought-leadership content
· Assist with the development of content for marketing campaigns
· Regularly communicate updates internally to all employees
· Write blogs and articles based on new developments, based on the needs of the organization
· Oversee the company’s social media presence, including content creation, engagement, and brand consistency across platforms.

NOTE: The employee must adhere to an approved schedule within the company's business hours of 8 am to 5 pm EST. Flexibility may be necessary to accommodate employees in different time zones. This position is full-time and salaried. Workdays are Monday through Friday. Remote work is allowed, with the understanding of (in-office) meetings when your presence is needed.

Position Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in Marketing, Communications, and/or Event Management.
Certificates & Licenses: N/A

Skills and Abilities:

· Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, including but not limited to social media campaign strategy and management, project planning and execution, event planning and coordination
· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
· Proven ability to adapt to dynamic environments and proactively develop solutions
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
· Strong general computer literacy
· Experience negotiating and managing third-party vendor contracts

Preferred skills, but not required:

· Demonstrated experience using AI tools in a marketing context to enhance content creation and campaign strategy
· Proven ability to develop, execute, and analyze marketing campaigns across various channels
· Knowledge and previous use of WordPress
· Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop)

Physical Demands:

Prolonged engagement with the computer workstation and screen use.
C (Constantly) Position requires this activity more than 66% of the time. (5.5+ hrs/day)

Work Environment:

Work is primarily performed remotely, occasionally in the office, or at vendor/client/customer locations. The workspace is equipped with a computer, phone, and other necessary office supplies. The environment is often fast-paced and dynamic, requiring the Communication and Events Specialist to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and sometimes in stressful situations. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate in other situations.
