Inspection reporting just got easier! BuildingReports is excited to introduce a powerful new integration with IROL (Inspection Reports Online) — designed to simplify the way service providers handle fire and life safety system reports.

Why This Matters
IROL, a trusted BuildingReports partner, provides a robust compliance submission platform that connects property owners, service providers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) like fire marshals and city officials. Together, we’re making the reporting process faster, smoother, and more reliable.

How It Works
With this new integration, service providers and property owners can effortlessly submit Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) reports directly from BuildingReports into IROL. This direct link allows AHJs to quickly review reports, track non-compliance issues, and monitor progress in real-time.

Key Benefits for You:

  • Simplified Reporting: Streamlines the labor-intensive submission process to AHJs.
  • Improved Efficiency: Cuts down unnecessary steps and eliminates the need to attach or submit separate report files.
  • Real-Time Tracking: Easily track deficiencies and resolve compliance issues faster.
  • Reduced Errors: Eliminates manual file handling and login processes across multiple systems.
  • Quick Status Reviews: Get instant updates on the status of every inspection submitted through IROL.

Additional Resources

Submitting Multiple Reports to IROL
When submitting reports, you can either:

  1. Submit and pay your local jurisdiction’s IROL submittal fees instantly.
  2. Queue multiple reports and submit them together at your convenience.

When you’re ready to submit, simply head to the Integrations Section under “IROL” to view and select from your drafted reports.

Take control of your submissions and save time with this flexible new process!

About IROL
In 2010, InspectionReportsOnline.net (IROL) Inc., was founded by a group with over one hundred years of combined experience in the Fire and Life Safety Industry. Stemming from their frustrations as former service providers engaged in Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM), including installation, service, and repairs of systems, their belief in the crucial role of systems as the first line of defense drove them to create a platform where this knowledge is harnessed for prevention and the protection of property and people.

Time equals money. We recently completed a Salesforce integration that enhances efficiency and precision to strengthen the support we provide our network of Service Members and their facility customers.

The Salesforce integration simplifies life for your entire team by accelerating deficiency information gathering at the asset level to promptly kickstart quoting or repairs. With this integration, the speed of generating repairs and quotes is significantly boosted through seamless data exchange between BuildingReports and Salesforce.

Our new integration provides comprehensive data, including failures, reasons for failure, make/model, customer details, and more.

Lastly, the two-way integration provides updated compliance documentation when repairs or replacements are logged within Salesforce.

Additional Resources

Create a Salesforce Opportunity or Work Order – With this new integration, members using Salesforce’s Field Service Lightning solution can create opportunities or work orders directly within an inspection report. Members can either create new Opportunities or Work Orders or add to existing ones. Additionally, members can link their BuildingReports building information directly to their customer’s corresponding Salesforce account through a simple search.

Sending Device Level Data – Members are able to select one or multiple discrepancies to send to the chosen Opportunity or Work Order. Critical information for those discrepancies, such as device type, location, model #, and reason for failure are then attached to your opportunity.

Track Your Linked Salesforce Opportunities/Work Orders – From the BuildingReports platform, you can track the status of any open Opportunities/Work Orders that are currently linked to one of your inspection reports. Salesforce Opportunities/Work Orders can be accessed easily through this section. As a member progresses through the various stages of quoting/approvals/repairs, the status of these items are updated.

Reports Updated with Fixed Dates – As members complete repairs for an inspection, “fixed” dates are automatically applied to any discrepancies addressed through Salesforce Field Service Lightning. For inspection reports in which all discrepancies are addressed, the inspection report’s tag color will automatically update to indicate all items have been addressed.
